Principal's Message

Watching Granite Hills grow from an empty field into a vibrant campus has been one of my greatest joys as an administrator. Today, from our youngest TK students to our most seasoned 8th graders, children from across the neighborhood are joining together as one PACK. The bonds we are building here are strong and lasting, and for that I am truly grateful.

If you are a current parent visiting this page, I encourage you to get connected. Reach out to your student’s teacher, stop by the office to say hello, or attend a Parent PACK meeting. Our partnership with families is one of the reasons Granite Hills has already become such an important part of this community. Our parents have shown up in full force to support their new school, and we are better because of it!

If you are not yet part of the PACK, I invite you to click around and get to know us. We may be coyotes, but we won’t bite! There is so much in store for this school year, and we look forward to sharing it with you. From establishing our PACK values of Perseverance, Accountability, Collaboration, and Kindness, to developing a house points system that gets everyone involved, we are laying a rock-solid foundation for the future.

Our staff is not only highly qualified, but also deeply passionate about what they do. They put students first every single day. You’ll see our friendly campus supervisors greeting students at the crosswalk each morning, and our welcoming office staff smiling behind the sleek safety doors. Our Assistant Principal, Mr. U, greets all of our Kinders with a smile at the gate, while Miss Ashley, our librarian dashes about campus to ensure everyone has what they need to learn for the day!

We are proud to offer a Dual Language Immersion (DLI) program that has attracted families from across the valley. Starting as early as Kindergarten, our students are learning to read, write, and speak in both English and Spanish. Beyond that, every grade level at Granite Hills receives music and theater instruction, and our middle school students enjoy a variety of electives. Many even serve as teacher assistants in elementary classrooms, mentoring younger coyotes and building the sense of PACK that defines our school.

Granite Hills is more than just a school—it’s a community, a family, and a place where students pursue their passions. The question is… are YOU part of the PACK?

See you soon!

Mrs. Punzel
